Crack in the Walls: Dorm 3
Who: Anyone either involved in the Dorm 3 Quest or for those wanting to shelter in Dorm 3. You can shelter there without being involved in the questing.
What: Dorm 3 as an Emergency Shelter/trying to get things turned back on.
Where: Dorm 3 and the tunnels below.
When: June 13-onward.
Notes: For the first three days feel free to make normal just being locked in a shelter things. The actual questing stuff will happen in closed threads.
Warnings: Sirens, blood, gore, creepy monster elements.
The alarms have sounded and people have begun to move. Everyone knows about getting to the closest shelter. For the most part, this is an orderly move, but there is some panicking. The council and various npcs are out shouting for people to get a move on. Water is coming in rapidly. When the alarm first sounds it’s up to people’s ankles, and then when the final alarm rings and the doors start to close, it’s up to the average person’s knees. Once the outer door is sealed, there’s feedback and communication is off.
John has never liked Dorm 3, it always gives her the willies, which when you’re a ghost, is something that really shouldn’t happen. But she was bringing supplies to Dorm 3 when the alarm goes out, and being as she’s a doctor, she’s just going to be over here taking charge if you don’t mind. Getting people into the large gym-like area, John does her best to remind people to set up food and sleeping supplies, but let’s be honest, she’s a ghost and she doesn’t always think of food and sleeping and fun.
Besides, there’s the giggling and the feeling watched that’s present from even when the first siren went off and before it. It continues in the night, and the power flickers here more often than the rest does.

Part of her still wonders if it would have been fine if she hadn't. It would have been one more place open, and it wasn't as if she couldn't survive underwater. The problem would have been food.
Still, it was probably good she was here. She was a natural leader and understood times of crisis. It didn't surprise her when on the third day John woke her, the dead woman's words, however, did. The words were rushed and seemed rather dramatic, but she followed.
"Has anyone been down here before?"

'what would you willingly sacrifice'
She didn't speak. She wasn't the kind of person to prattle on endlessly and she already had a sense about this dome from the last three nights of being trapped within its walls. It was cursed. Something about this dome made her human side uneasy, luckily, the programming overrode that. If their survival was dependent on it, then she would go. Not for herself. Enis didn't care if she made it out of here alive but there were children and mothers trapped within the dorm. She couldn't leave them.
She slipped the pack over her shoulder and then pulled a small combat knife from her boot and a flash light.
"I don't think anyone who's been down here has gotten out. Be ready to fight and let's go. If what we need is down there then we're wasting time up here." Enis turned on the flash light and headed towards the door without another word. She was going to plan for the worst and hopefully this didn't completely suck.

When John wakes them, she blearily follows the others. It's some comfort to know they won't be encountering ghosts, but on the other hand, their unknown foe could be worse. The question at the door is hard to miss.
"I know time is of the essence, but we should probably try and stay quiet," she whispers. "It would be best to see who or what we're up against before they see us." She draws her knife, slipping her fingers through the rings on the handle and gripping it tightly, ready for whatever comes her way.

"I believe Enis is right. No one who had come this way has returned. Whatever is here will not see us, though, I can assure you that, provided you stay near me." He wouldn't be wasting his attention keeping track of those who wandered off.

Her more significant concerns were these people and the potential of water leaking in; she could smell the salinity from here. Not that she had to worry much about Loki. Arthur had said something about the man being a god. The others, well, they seemed mortal enough. She made her way toward the front, but as Loki had advised, close to him.

Her sensors flared to life while a series of protocols began to boot up. A soft whirling echoed through her head and her vibrant blue eyes became stained red.
The path was quickly flooded with water making any attempt to be silent nearly impossible. Ripples expanded out from them, crashing together as each step created another arc. She lowered her voice to answer Carol but it seemed to be a pointless endeavor. "I don't think it's possible to be silent." It was impractical to think they could hide their presence but Enis's movements were calculated and measured. She made as little disturbance as possible while keeping up a steady pace.
That was when she heard it. The sound was sweet and alluring though Enis couldn't place the notes. It hazed and drew in the human side of her mind while her systems flashed a red warning that something was wrong. "Wait." Enis gasped. Her mind and her mechanics were fighting and while her mind usually lost, the struggle was painful.
"Something is here. I can hear it." Enis turned and tried to stop the procession before they got too close. It didn't matter because a second later she felt something curl around her ankle and pull her beneath the water.

As they walk, a sense of calm falls over her. She wants to keep going forward and find the source of this calmness. It takes Enis stopping them and pointing out she can hear whatever is with them for Carol to realize that she's hearing a song.
And then Enis is pulled under.
Carol is immediately in fight mode, knife up and ready, eyes searching for the assailant as she stands still. "What was that?"

-and then she was dragged under, nearly faster than his eyes could track. Instinct brought the spell to mind that conjured his daggers in his hands and he held up a hand. "I really have no idea."
And then he looked back to Mera. "I assume your Atlantean physiology grants you more than the ability to breath underwater? Good." He nods, not waiting for an answer. "If you can see in that gloom, I suggest running after her. I'll follow." He looks to Carol, then. "And while I do so, my attention won't be here. If anything happens to my body while I'm projecting, I'm holding you personally responsible. Whatever it is, I suggest we lure them to the shallows as best we can." He looks to Mera, "That leave the rescue of our idiotic damsel to you. Can you manage?"

Mentally, that's where she was when Enis was dragged under; in her head and focusing far too strongly on the song and how it was a trap to be fully affected by it. The noise and speed of what happened snapped her back to reality and before Loki started talking her eyes were already glowing a bright irridecent blue - far too bright for the darkened chamber they'd walked into. What looks almost like a blue mist begins to escape from her palms and fingertips and the water seems to shudder, agitating more and more as she concentrates. Slowly, the water begins to part before it begins to seem to cling to the walls in large columns, leaving a few of it's inhabitants flat against the ground.
"Go get her, and stop that singing." It's not that she's struggling, but her voice sounds strained. Holding a conversation while using her powers isn't something she does every day.

Danger. Body temperature dropping. Oxygen levels low.
Override Initiated.
Audio Systems Muted.
Enis opened her eyes just as the water around her began to curl and shift, creating an unnatural path at the center of the tunnel.
Recalculating.
She twisted her torso, letting her legs remain in place as the unidentified creature clung to her ankle. Enis's torso rolled into the air but didn't bother to signal to those behind her. Not with the creature still affixed to her leg.
Her free palm rested on the cool tunnel floor and twisting her body like a cat, she flipped the creature out of the water and onto the dry floor. It flopped like a fish and for the first time they got a look at their attackers. Enis still held the combat blade in her hand and she mechanically slit the throat of the creature, cutting off its song.
There were more and until Loki or others joined her at the front of the path, Enis was unfortunately their target and wildly out numbered.
To those who could see her. Her once vibrant blue eyes had turned blood red.

It's miraculous. This woman must be something of a goddess.
Then the swift motions of combat draw her eyes to Enis, and as more creatures rush for the girl, Carol runs forward to help. She thrusts the blade of her knife right into a creature's eye. They aren't the dead, but a knife to the brain will take care of any sentient being. With that in mind, she pulls the knife free and turns her attention to the next closest creature.

Blinking, he hazards a glance in Carol's direction. "Be prepared. It's going to be very quiet." And he waves his hand, enveloping them in a dome of silence. They'd be fighting deaf, but at least they'd be fighting without the influence of the sirens. He doesn't wait to see if Carol adjusts, but sets to work on slaughtering the gathering mermaids.

Enis [Open to those in Dorm 3]
Day 1 [The Alarms]
Her eyes opened less than a second after the first alarm began. This was the moment they'd be waiting for.
She grabbed the black backpack she had sitting at the end of the bed and slipped it over her shoulder. They had mentioned stocking the bunkers with food and medical supplies but Enis needed something more than that to survive. By her estimation, she had a months worth collected in her backpack. Hopefully she wouldn't need more.
The distance between Dorm 1 and Dorm 3 was a short one but there were people stumbling through the water, tripping over each other and themselves. If she was smart she'd leave them. Sadly, she wasn't that smart. Enis helped people in the last legs towards the 3rd Dorm. She focused on keeping people from trampling each other, watching out for children and having them continue into the Dorm so that they don't block the entrance for those still trying to escape.
"Don't just stand there get inside and fill in the room! Help those who are wounded and my god don't step on that child you jackass!"
Day 2 [Morning/Noon/Night]
At any other moment, Enis was sitting out of the way with her eyes closed and her backpack sitting to her left. She felt the itch under her skin telling her that it was almost time for an injection but it was a private affair and one that she didn't want to do with so many people in the same room as her.
It wasn't until it was past the middle of the night that she slipped a hand into her backpack and pulled out a bottle with a murky blue liquid and a syringe. Enis pulled her thigh to her chest and found the spot without having to remove her jeans. It sucked doing this through clothing but she didn't have much of a choice. She took a deep breath and plunged the needle into her thigh, injecting the mixture.
Day 2; Night
Enis' motion distracted him from the casual tossing of a ball into the air as he lay on his cot. Catching it, he turned toward her, watching with interest as she injected some strange concoction into her thigh. Well, this was much more interesting than idling away the hours, and he sat up, arching an eyebrow curiously.
"Well, that's something."
Day 2; Night
Her gaze returned back to her work. She quickly went through the process of sterilizing and packing the daunting needle where it would be safe. Her movements were quick, precise and skilled as she began to put her tools away. There was no hiding it but she wasn't going to keep everything on display either.
"Was there a question in there somewhere?" She liked Loki and found him charming but he was still really hard to read.
Re: Day 2; Night
"Several, actually." He moved from his bed to sit on the edge of her's, overlooking her work, crossing his legs at the ankles. "Are you ill?"
Day 2; Night
"Something like that." She didn't know exactly what was wrong with her because all of the details were 'classified' in the database she carried. "If I do not do this I will get sick but it is only the symptom, not the disease."
Day 2; Night
Day 2; Night
"I have a computer chip in my head." Among other things. "This keeps those systems and the metal in my body in check. Otherwise I'd turn into something less than human." It wasn't a lie because it was what Enis thought was the truth. The only part that she left out was that she was already something less than human.
Day 2; Night
"Whoever put that chip there did a poor job. I'm no healer. My abilities are more specialized toward the mind and the changing of form...though that might be beneficial. That is, unless you want to continue needing that."
Day 2; Night
"I don't know if that will help. I cannot analyze the issue myself." It was complicated. "And I don't know if it's the chip or something else." A sharp pain flared behind Enis's eyes and she dropped her forehead into her palm as a brief exhale of pain escaped from her mouth. "Fuck. Unless you have a better idea. This is all I can do." She was incredibly limited and while Enis was sure that her father had every intention of fixing whatever he broke, he died before he had the chance.
Day 2; Night
It was an off-handed comment, more to himself than to Enis.
Day 2; Night
She knew what she wanted to do but most she had met paled at the idea.
Day 2; Night
It would be as simple as unlocking the mind in a way it hadn't been sealed, something like a lockpick rather than it's proper key. It was a spell he could accomplish, but it would probably be unpleasant.
