[Alex has been looking for Richard for a while now, and she's moving through the marketplace on her way to the black market, because if there's one thing that she knows it's that Richard's somewhere that he can get an absurd amount of liquor really easily. But she's been keeping tabs on the conversations that he's having, hoping that they're going to give some sign as to where he is.

So, she's seen the conversation that he's had with Loki, and she's seen what Loki said and it had hit far too close to home. Alex's not normally a violent person, but she is a defensive one, especially when it comes to the people she loves. And she loves Richard Strand more than she loves most anyone that she's ever met. So, yes, she probably is in fact that woman that he spoke about, but that's beside the point.
