Crack in the Wall: Silos
Who: Anyone either involved in the Silo Quest or for those wanting to shelter in the Silos. You can shelter there without being involved in the questing.
What: The Silo as an Emergency Shelter/trying to get things turned back on.
Where: The Silo and the tunnels below.
When: June 13-onward.
Notes: For the first three days feel free to make normal just being locked in a shelter things. The actual questing stuff will happen in closed threads.
Warnings: The Floor is lava.
The alarms have sounded and people have begun to move. Everyone knows about getting to the closest shelter. For the most part, this is an orderly move, but there is some panicking. The council and various npcs are out shouting for people to get a move on. Water is coming in rapidly. When the alarm first sounds it’s up to people’s ankles, and then when the final alarm rings and the doors start to close, it’s up to the average person’s knees. Once the outer door is sealed, there’s feedback and communication is off.
If there was one place that Persephone can be found in general it’s in the silos, Max deputized her before and placed her in charge there if the sirens went off when they go off and the doors seal off, Persephone looks rather pale and shaken for a moment. This sure is too damned familiar for her tastes.
But she’s got her flask out and she’s passing it around. “Okay. We’re fine and they’re working on it. Ain’t no communication but that’s fine. We can do plenty of stuff to pass the time.”
The set up here is very similar to what it is in the other domes, only Persephone has added some flowers to light things up. The first three days here are a little more lively, with the goddess leading people in playing games and with there being singing and a better quality of food being provided, less dependant on the whole prepacked stuff as Persephone augments it.

Closed to the fix it team: collecting the players:
Persephone just points to the door mostly hidden behind the grain and then steps out of the room, sealing them inside.
Gyda and open
She told herself that if she died, she might be lucky to go to Freya's hall. Their task was a scary one, perhaps not a battle, but dangerous all the same. There was no way they couldn't earn a spot among the honored dead.
Dressed in clothes she could move in, but not worry about getting stuck, Gyda made sure of her tools and some rope before going in after them.

He looked over to Gyda and nodded.
"You ready, kid?"
no subject
She nodded. "I'm ready." She was certainly looking to finish this and get everyone to safety.

"We'll get this going, kid. Just stick with me. I'm Arthur, by the way."
no subject
And fast. Her brother ensured that as part of his training her. They would need someone small to go in and release the door so the grains weren't ruined.

She took a deep breath and prayed to Freya, before nodding and setting her bag down. Gyda made sure her hair was secure, then looked into her bag to pull out any tool she might need. There was no way she could carry a bag under water like this without the risk of weighing her down or being lost; anything she brought, she'd have to wear on her belt. After that it was setting some goggles so the water wouldn't blind her.
"I'm ready." He would have to go first though.

Knowing her brother and his mindset, she didn't put it past something like that happening. Ergo, learning how to hold her breath for a long time.
"Thank you." She could hold her breath for a long time, but the way things were progressing, she wasn't too proud to admit she'd need help.

He had no reason to lie about his skills either. If he tried to drown her, he'd put the same fate on himself-this would be easier.
She took a deep breath, letting it out as she trudged into the water. The cold forced her to suck in another breath; it was nothing she wasn't used to, but it did take a moment for her to breath again.

His grim is strong but gentle, and he is under the water quickly swimming down faster than she probably anticipated. Being half-Atlantean had it's advantages. Once they were near, he gave her a slight squeeze.

He was right to carry her. She couldn't have swum nearly as fast or strong as he was right now, not if she didn't want to risk drowning.
Gyda just hoped she was strong enough to last. Already she could feel her lungs burning, and inwardly said a prayer to Freya that they would make it to the spot soon.

"You got this, kid."

She continued to gasp for air as she tread water, more focused on filling her lungs than the reality that the man who helped her was able to breath and speak under water. Even when it dawned on her he was capable of that, she was aware she didn't have time to ponder or question how he was capable of it. She'd been in Riverview long enough to see all sorts of wondrous people.
Right now, she had job to do.
Taking another deep breath, Gyda dove back into the water, looking to see what the problem was. Thanks to the googles, she had a clearer picture of what could be done; the mechanism to the door was stuck open, a crack large enough to let water in, but small so that only someone her size could get through.
She swam back up so the two of them could plan something out.

"Okay, kid, what are we looking at, here?"
no subject
She's not rude when she says this, only stating the fact. "Can you control water or just breath through it?"
If the latter was the case, she'd have an easier time getting through and working the door.

"How far down is it?"

It took a few seconds for her to figure out the best way to do it but eventually she began to move the large bags, taking them from the top of the stack and carrying it over to the opposite corner. The bags were larger than her tiny frame but she could be strong if she just put a little magic in it.
"The door is this way." She stated calmly before grabbing another bag. Two bags in and she's huffing and puffing but she doesn't stop. There was a lot to move.

"Take it easy, Angel. I'll get this show on the road."
Open [Nights before Team Fix it]
More than one someone had entered her thoughts but she found herself always returning to the same person. Jack. Is he okay? Did he make it?
She had asked Persephone to make a few of the plants from her home world, placing them around the area to light the space with a comforting soft blue glow. With that task completed, she took a seat near the corner of the area and began to sing a comforting song to help everyone sleep.
"Lay down your head and I'll sing you a lullaby
Back to the years of loo-li lai-lay
And I'll sing you to sleep and I'll sing you tomorrow
Bless you with love for the road that you go
May you sail far to the far fields of fortune
With diamonds and pearls at your head and your feet
And may you need never to banish misfortune
May you find kindness in all that you meet
May there always be angels to watch over you
To guide you each step of the way
To guard you and keep you safe from all harm
Loo-li, loo-li, lai-lay"
Those who hear her song will feel relaxed and be blessed with a dreamless restful sleep.
[ooc: this is what the song sounds like.]
