001. Open. Entry.
Who: Enis Edrin. & You.
What: Arrival to the Spheres.
Where: Anywhere within the City. However no area is under constant bombardment.
When: May 27th. thru. May 31st.
Warnings: Blood. Self mutilation. First prompt. Others are fine. Swearing because Enis does that.
Arrival: Closed to One Person.
[Her arrival is a jarring experience.
There are two people standing in front of her, attempting to explain the situation but Enis is panicked and unable to process everything that's going on. She runs. Dashing through the domes until she stops at the edge of one of the sphere's. She stares at the water in horror just as the buzzing in her head whirls to life. Enis feels the golden implant behind her ear and her panic surges and shifts into fear.]
No. Not like this.
[Her nails bite into the golden metal device behind her ear, digging through skin to remove the new addition to the systems in her head. The instant she begins to hurt herself her eyes flare red and dark bloody tears begin to pour down her cheeks. Her fingers loosen and move to her lap as if she's suddenly a lifeless doll.
Critical alert.
System override.
Enis feels the subtle steady whirl at the back of her thoughts as she blinks away the red hue to relieve the vibrant blue that circles her iris's. She doesn't move and doesn't seem to concerned with the fact that she's bleeding.]
Exploration: A Drink.
[It doesn't take her long to calm down and find a place to drink. Enis doesn't have money but after a quick run in with a local she finds herself with a decent collection of stolen cash to fuel the nights escape. She can't get drunk without something stronger than the liquor found on earth but there is no reason not to put in the college try.
She orders a glass of whiskey, quickly downs it and then orders another.
Everything about being here sucks and it's for reasons that she can't explain. She needs to start planning... after tonight. Tonight, she just wants to forget that this clusterfuck is even happening.]
Tour: Closed to Rhys.
[Enis is dressed in the attire that she had arrived in. Worn dark blue jeans hug tightly to her legs while a black leather belt circles her hips. Her shirt is a thin strappy black tank top and over top of that is a black leather jacket. With her boots, she's wearing far too much black to be fashionable. Her lips are a pale pink while her skin looks like it's made of pale porcelain and has never seen the sun.
There is a thin wound starting behind her ear, curving down the side of her neck. Nail marks. They have been slowly healing and in a few weeks will be too faded to notice but for now, they're red and angry but no longer bleeding.
She waits just outside of the residential domes. Enis tries not to think about her current living situation but it bothers her. She isn't used to living with people and she doubts that she likes it. It's something she'll deal with later. For now, she needs information and while she doesn't completely trust Rhys, he understands her situation better than most.
Hopefully he'll be able to help.
Enis glances up when she hears footsteps coming towards her.]
Looks like you found me. [It's her way of saying hello.]
Wildcard.
[ooc: This is that wildcard option. Feel free to plot with me here if you want to do something other than this and have your characters meet Enis!]

Arrival
He guesses he should do something about this. No one else is going to.
A trail of loose sparks passes behind Enis, and materializes into Dodger. Before anything he nudges her gently with his foot - if she doesn't immediately lash out and attack him, he'll be stooping down to check the damage to her head.]
Arrival
I don't like being kicked.
[In case he hadn't gathered that.]
no subject
[It answers his question, though. He's seen some severe cases of shock, and they can get bloody if handled wrong. When he does touch her it's as if he's reaching for a cornered animal - not nervous in the slightest, but steady and slow. Showing that he isn't a threat. His fingers brush her hair out of the way to get a look at the injury, and he tips his head to the side. If he hadn't seen it happen, he wouldn't have believed she'd done it herself... it's almost impressive.]
Pretty ineffective method, don't you think?
no subject
[She replies simply as Dodger inspects the side of her head.
Enis doesn't bother to try to stop him. What's the point? The gash trails from the golden inset behind her ear to the bottom of her jaw. The skin is mangled and it's steadily bleeding but the wound is relatively shallow. Whatever stopped her had done so before she did any permanent damage to herself or the new system implanted in her head. As he pushes her hair back he'll see the tattoo of a serial number next to the wound.
6201327A]
I wasn't trying to be effective.
[As the systems in her head shut down she began to feel the throbbing pain of the cut. It was sharp and like many things, it reminded Enis that she was still alive.]
It'll heal.
no subject
[Says the man with lines through his whole face.
He takes note of the serial number, and that does answer a few questions. Some of which aren't fully formed yet, but he'll mull it over later. For now, he reaches his hand to cover the area of open skin, and his palm suddenly turns white-hot. Just long enough to cauterize the wound, before returning to normal as he runs his fingers along her skin in a vaguely comforting gesture.]
You should head to a doctor, yeah?
no subject
She winches at the hot touch of Dodger's palm but that's the only reaction she has.
Enis exhales a soft sigh and gently brushes away his touch.] My body can repair itself from anything. [Even from the cauterized scar tissue that has now sealed the wound.] But...
It's good that it isn't bleeding anymore.
[It's her way of saying thank you.]
no subject
Yeah, you're welcome for that. [He stands back up, searching his pockets for his packet of cigarettes.] We'll figure out some way to make it even later, I don't generally go out of my way to save people from a peaceful retirement.
[He is running low on these... he and Max are gonna have to have a chat.]
no subject
Say the word or whatever. I do owe you. [It's like a thank you.] I generally don't like owing people so maybe sooner rather than later. [She turns to look at him, her eyes shining their usual bright vibrant blue.]
There must be something you want that I can give you.
no subject
[There's a flash of predatory instinct in his eyes, as he looks her over. But then it's gone, and replaced with the dulled look of disdain he always wears.]
I'm not letting you go that easily, though. I'll let you know when I make my mind up - for now, just try to keep yourself alive, yeah? That thing's not coming out anytime soon.

He walks casually, in no rush to get to their agreed-upon meeting spot. When he finally sees Enis, he grins and waves.]
Hey there. Ready to see the sights?
[He offers his robotic elbow, playing the part of the gentleman.]
Tour
As ready as I'm going to ever be.
[Her palm rests lightly on his elbow as she lets him guide her forward.]
Where too first?
Tour
[He guides her toward the market, making sure she can match his gait. Having a short stack for a best friend comes in handy sometimes.]
You won't have to worry about money, since we get credits from the Sphere, but if you get bored and want to work, or if you like helping out, this is also a good place to find work.
Tour
I don't think anyone here will need the kinds of skills I have.
[Her lips press together in a tight line as she glances up at Rhys.] I am looking for some things. [Enis lists off a few common house hold items. They really won't all be useful while living in a dorm like she does but she needs to be able to recreate her medication here and she doesn't trust anyone else to do it.]
That's all I need for right now.
[Given that she needs to buy supplies, food and clothes; she'll probably need to eventually get a job but for now she isn't going to worry about it.]
Re: Tour
[Rhys doesn't want to come off as forcing her into something she doesn't want, but he can't help wanting her to not feel down about it.]
We can get those items easy enough. Just think about the job thing. If nothing else, you can help me out around my shop.
Tour
I know electronics, chemistry and software the best. [There are other things that she knows and can do but she'd studied chemistry and bits of biology to help her fathers research. Not on purpose but it's what she'd been made to do.]
What sort of shop do you have?
Tour
[He guides her into the marketplace, easily navigating to the shop where she'll be able to find most of her shopping list items.]
I run a tech shop, basically. People can come learn about working on computers and robotics, or they can get help with projects. I'm actually helping someone build a hand like mine, and another guy wants a pair of legs.
Tour
Her head tilted curiously to the side and when she spoke there was a new note of confusion in her voice.]
You'd let me work for you? Just like that? I could be lying.

Exploration: A drink
And here was someone who needed to forget. Things that needed to be forgotten were useful. He shifts his expression to one of concern as he turns toward her.]
Rough night?
no subject
Take your pick.
[Her voice is pleasant but tense and dismissive. Enis isn't here looking for company. She isn't really sure why she's here, be it in the domes or at the bar. She can't get drunk on this crap or she doesn't think she can.
The liquid in her glass is a bright vibrant green that stings the back of her throat and warms her limbs. It's pleasant but she doesn't think it's getting her drunk.] It's all rough. [She exhales a sigh before looking at the tall dark haired stranger next to her.]
And what brings you in here?
[Not that she cares but she's getting no where with her thoughts and she can use the distraction.]
no subject
[He'll even drink to that. It certainly wasn't part of his plan, and things were...important back home. They were migrating their entire people to another planet, after all.
He raises his wine glass.]
A thirst, and a reprieve. This place is like nothing I've ever seen. I take it you're the same?
no subject
And yes. I'm not really thrilled with the 'no leaving' part of this mess. [Enis downs what's left of her drink and winches as the burning sensation fills her stomach. She waves to the bartender and requests another of whatever the hell she's drinking.]
You'd think they'd have their shit together with how long this has been happening.

Are you going to narrow this down to something more specific?
[She can't read his mind.]
no subject
[And he raises a finger.]
-they have no intention of doing so.
no subject
[Enis counters easily.]
You put too much faith in people.
