MAY NIGHTMARE LOG.

Where as in the past nightmares have been more generalized, starting in unspecified areas, this one definitely has a ground zero point that it spirals out from. The ground zero point comes from the dome of the head of the Council, Max Tinder in the middle of the residential domes. Those who are close enough my even be able to hear the scream of a kid happen, followed my mountains of gratuitous swearing. (Don’t worry if you don’t hear it in person. You’ll be able to hear it on the network.) From that central point, the nightmare shifts outwards following no single pattern or anything like that to strike at the other domes.

As for the transformation that the nightmare brings, that’s entirely up to the players involved. It can be something slow and painful as your bones and body rewrite itself into your child form. It can be a partial transformation: an adult head on a child’s body or a child’s hand on an adults. The situation is nightmarish by design, however what level that nightmare is is subjective. (Warn for body horror etc if it’s going down in the thread.)

Leaving the affected area has the same effects if you want to play with them. Maybe it takes longer and longer for the effects of the nightmare to be removed. Maybe they only become partially removed. Maybe your character is stuck like this for two weeks.

The most important thing to know is that in whatever form this nightmare strikes your character, your character still has all of the parts of your adult character’s mind intact. All of your characters memories, experiences, dreams, personality, all of it are still there, trapped in the body of their childhood self. That is what makes this a nightmare. It should be your character as they were on May 12th etc.

"I really should learn not to meddle," Alec sighs, but then smiles up at Seregil.

"Tali, may I braid your hair?"

Seregil can't help but roll his eyes. Of course Alec would ask something like that. "Fine." There's a heavy sigh in the comment. He'd rather not, but he plays with Alec's hair enough not to have a leg to stand on in this argument.

"Well don't sound so excited about it."

Alec wraps his arms around Seregil and bullies him into a tight snuggle.

"Fine, just lay here with me awhile."

Seregil is easy to bully into snuggles. "Have four sisters deciding that you're the perfect dress up doll and see if you like your hair braided." The words come out as a pouty huff. "Ask me when we're older."

"I'm just happy to have your hands on me."

Alec's fairly sure that would be the case for him, sisters or no.

Seregil gives a soft laugh, kissing the top of Alec's head. "As if I haven't made up for it enough." He's not upset about any of it, just amused that Alec's bringing it up.

Alec grins. "You'll have made up for it when I say so. I still plan to work you to the bone."

Though this turn of events certainly takes the piss out of things.

"...later, I mean."

"Keep this up and it'll be the cabin all over again." The cabin would always hold a special place for him. It was where Alec had managed to start the healing in his heart.

Alec's shoulders shake with silent laughter.

"That would be a feat. Are you sure you're up to the challenge?

"I am."

"Are you saying I'm too old for three years of non-stop debauchery?" Was that a challenge in Alec's words?

"I would never dream of calling you old. But we had quite a bit more free time there. And privacy."

It doesn't get much more private than the remote wilderness, after all.

"When have you ever known me to be shy?"

[whiteroadrunning]

"You've never been shy, but that isn't entirely the point." Alec pauses to laugh quietly. "It's easier to maintain that level of debauchery when we have an entire wilderness to take advantage of."

"You have a point, though that also means you're not capable either." Seregil continues stroking the other boy's hair.

[whiteroadrunning]

"You don't suppose anyone frequents the abandoned domes, do you? That might suit." Alec laughs, though his eyes have drifted shut and he's rather enjoying Seregil's fingers in his hair.

"Ah, but the nightmares would get in the way." He's not concerned about the memories, not yet at least.

"I'm willing to take the chance of you are."

[of_bokthersa]

"Now?" He sounds as if he scandalized, but he knows that isn't what Alec means.

"Not now, obviously." Alec frowns.

"Good. I'm far too pleased with the position we're in now to change anything."
