Who: Beverly Marsh and You!
When: During the plot.
Where: Around most places.
Warnings: Discussion about what's going on probably.
Notes: This is a generalized starter, pick a place and we'll do the thing.
Beverly Marsh knows she's probably supposed to be going places with people right now, but that's never stopped her from slipping out and doing things on her own. If she was with one of the adults in her life, people would pay more attention to her than she wanted them too, it was a simple fact. Whatever problems the older residents had been having with the older people in town had only affected her in the smallest of ways, so she wasn't worried about that. Besides, she knew that this was just normal for her, going to and from dome to dome as if she was attending school or going between the houses she went through for dinner, or just shopping and training and screwing around.
Despite talking with Ubbe about hiding a dagger, Bev is wearing it on her belt just in case.
But despite the backpack on her shoulders and the dagger, Bev is moving with a purpose, and she's armed with something else: images of the men who had been around Alex and Aaron and Rhys, because she's definitely going to find them and sound the alarm before anything else can happen. If she sees someone she knows, she stops, mostly to check in, but also to spread the pictures around without placing them up on the network.

Besides, if it happened that Ubbe might arrive home safe (and relatively in one piece, because things happened) and she wasn't there, he could always message her. His coming home without her being there wouldn't change anything.
Going through one of the more urban set domes when she saw Beverly. Instead of shouting and calling out to her, Gyda instead rushed over. "Are you looking for clues as well?"
She kept her voice hushed, worried about attracting unwanted attention. This close, she saw the girl was armed as well. Ivar always insisted on her carrying a weapon, and lately he insisted on her carrying several. Her most comfortable weapons were knives and axes, and she held two of the former (one strapped to her boot), and the latter being strapped to her belt.
Inwardly, Gyda tried not to think about whatever it was that caught her brother (a full grown man and skilled warrior), two girls against it might not prove a challenge.

"Yeah," she says softly. "I've been looking for stuff since Alex went missing. I was helping Richard." She's still helping Richard but she's probably not supposed to be out here, and she definitely knows that he wouldn't approve of it. "She had pictures of the men who were outside of her office on her computer." Pausing she adds, "I saw them around Aaron and Eric's house too, so it makes sense that they were probably around other people too."
Pulling out her phone from Riverview, Beverly opens the file of the pictures of the random men, and she shows them to Gyda slowly. "Did you see any of these people around your dome or Ubbe?"

She couldn't recall the details, but she knew her brother would notice them and say something. Perhaps not around her, but she would catch something. He was wary of this place already, and anyone who wasn't family or known at all would attract suspicion. "I did find this."
Carefully, Gyda pulled a jointed piece of metal from her bag, keeping it concealed as best she could with her hand, so only her friend could see. "There were piles of moss in the room where Ubbe might've been taken, I found this in pieces in one of those piles.
She'd put it together moments after she saw it, wondering what it meant. "Did you find anything like one of these?"

Everyone, not just Ubbe, but even the people that Beverly doesn't happen to like very much, like Annie, because they have to be able to. It doesn't make sense if they don't because that would make this place just like home, and Beverly refuses to let this place be like Derry. It's different here and she knows it.
"I think we should go tell them, Gyda. They're good and they're smart and they'll be able to help us get Ubbe back. It's what he would want."

She set the key back in her pocket. For Beverly to suggest they'd go to the adults, even she knew that was serious. "There's something else. Ivar can turn into various animals for a short period of time. He turned to a dog to try and pick up a scent so we could trace it-the blood wasn't Ubbe's."
That was something they couldn't figure. So much blood in that one area, but no body. If it wasn't her brother's then where was he. "Is there.." She tried to think of the word. "Is there a sort of laboratory, or maybe a police station where we have allies?"

When he spots Beverly weaving her way through the crowd, Ivar gives her an up and down look that's easy to mistake for him checking her out. What he's really doing is focusing in on that dagger, and seeing if she has any other weapons out. "Planning on going into battle, are we?" Not that he minds. He would think her foolish if she didn't have any weapons whatsoever.

She's not going to have someone find her brains.
"I'm planning on being ready if the battle comes to me," she says simply, and just shrugs a little bit. Even before Ubbe had been training her, Beverly Marsh has been ready for battle, the difference is that now she's got more weapons to fight than just toilet lids or iron fence posts.

The amusement slips from his face and suddenly he sounds very serious. "Do you know the two main ways to stab someone?" Ivar has taught people before how to fight, his little sister included. Knives are easy to pick up, practice with, and to keep on someone's body. But like all weapons, you needed to have an understanding of how to use them, or they were useless tools.

"Why do you want to know?" There's a suspicious note in her voice, and she crosses her arms above her chest for a moment, making eye contact with him and not breaking it.

He pulls out one of his own knives. "Front grip." He holds the blade so that the thumb is closest to the blade, the way most people held knives. "Reverse grip." He flips it around and holds it like an icepick so that the finger closest to the blade is the pinkie finger. "Most people use front grip for more precise stabbing, if you're aiming for a specific body part like an eye. Reverse grip is for when you need more force behind the blade and just need to kill someone as quickly as possible."
