FAMILY HOLIDAYS [SEMI-OPEN]
WHO: Wanda Maximoff, Tommy Shepherd, Gar Logan, Antonio Vega & any other close CR.
WHAT: Family dinner
WHEN: December 23rd
WHERE: Wanda's Dome; 305.
WARNINGS: n/a.
NOTES: This is open to those who might stop by Wanda's dome during the holidays. There will be a family dinner, cooking, drinking, gifts & general winter cheer. Feel free to make open posts, single thread, group threads or hop around. It is an easy form but make sure to communicate.
Wanda's dome is much like the other shared domes within the sphere however she's currently living alone. Even so, there are two small rooms off of the main living space. One is the bedroom and the other is the bathroom. The main room is well lived in. A couch is set across from a small tv with a coffee table positioned perfectly between them. Next to that is a round kitchen table with four chairs that segways into the 'U' shaped kitchen.
Sokovia does not celebrate Christmas, or at least Wanda doesn't, but she tries her best to decorate for the snowy winter holiday that the sphere celebrates. There are puffs of fake snow around the couch and on a few off the surfaces around the room. Candles line various shelves as well as centering both tables with sprigs of ivy, holly and a few other plants around the room. Music is playing though it's all random instrumental pieces that don't entirely identify with the holidays but it creates a pleasant mood within the small living space.
Coming from the kitchen are rich and exotic scents. Most of Wanda's food selections range from regions of Hungarian and Russia but they all manage to add to the pleasant sensation of the celebration. The table hosts each dish with plates and silverware set out for people. The dishes that can be found are perogies, chicken paprikash, stuffed peppers, Kürtőskalács, scalloped potatoes, Pogača, cabbage rolls and various small pastries. There is a lot of food but she is cooking for her son, so it's only natural that she makes enough food for an army.
There are also cookies, many many types of cookies.
The plan for the evening is for people to filter in and out, grab plates and eat when they wish, stand around and talk as well as give gifts. It is a loosely formed evening and one that Wanda hopes is relaxing to those who attend. She also won't turn anyone away, even if they weren't formally invited. Her door is left open and it is only near the end of the evening that she closes her door and ends the night.
It's a good thing that Wanda can use her magic to help her clean up after the hectic day.

WANDA | OPEN
At the beginning of the day as well as the day before, Wanda is cooking.
Thick heavy scents flow from her dome and the door stands open for all to inhale the tantalizing promise of something delicious. It's only after her son arrives at the small event that she hands off much of the cooking to him and begins to mill about and meet those who've come to visit. She makes a point to speak to her son, as well as his boy friend and introduce her own significant other to the pair.
She is also pouring drinks or making mixed simple drinks for those who want something more intricate than whiskey and wine. Wanda makes a point to have alcohol but there isn't enough for anyone to go crazy.
Throughout the entire event, Wanda is smiling; excited to spend the day with those she cares about. In a rare change has on make up though she is wearing her usual collection of rings and necklaces. Her dress is one that she wears often though it suits the wintery feel of the celebrations while her red hair falls around her shoulders in messy waves.
Her elf is still sitting in her living room but for the moment, Wanda is trying her best to ignore it and use it as a decoration. It, at least, hasn't been causing a lot of issues. Even if it looks very creepy.
Wanda And Gar?
"Hey, could you get me a drink?" he asks as he appears at her side, lifting the spoon from her hand to take over stirring something. "Don't care what, just make it tasty."
Of course he'd be here today. He promised. He promised and wanted to be here with his mother. More importantly than that, here to introduce her to Gar, once he showed up. After all, it had been Gar watching Speedy today while Tommy was working, and Tommy had agreed to just meet the guy.
"If you hear a knock in the next few minutes, let me get it? It's probably Gar."
Carrying other people around at his speed isn't always comfortable for them after all.
Yeah!
She's been practicing various mixtures and hoped that Tommy liked what she made. The drink itself wasn't overly sweet but with citric flavors that accented a pine taste she'd added with some gin. She didn't have to worry about Tommy getting drunk.
"How's this?" She placed the drink down only to turn her head as there was a knock on the door.
OTA really
"You've been busy."
<3
"It's easy to stay busy." Attending school and taking care of a dragon didn't give Wanda a great deal of extra time but she always made sure there was time for her family and friends. This was the first time she'd really had a life that belonged to her and she planned to enjoy it to its fullest.
"I hope you're enjoying yourself." She took the seat next to him though her gaze routinely flicked over to where Tommy and Gar were speaking in the kitchen. "I was hoping I could ask you to mix drinks later. I have a feeling you have a talent for it." Despite not needing to drink alcohol.

He smirked playfully at her, taking a sip from his whiskey. "I may have turned a tumbler or two in my day."
no subject
"And I thought you'd enjoy having something to do with your hands."
no subject
“I do have some practice to that effect.” He returned her smirk with one of his own, his tone equally light. “On both counts, though I’ve never run a bar. Maybe I should look into it.” He chuckled.
“I never lack for something to do with my hands, love.”
no subject
Her eyebrow rose, her misty green eyes playful as she watched him. "Is there something you want to do with you hands?"
no subject
He chuckled, a gentle sound deep in his chest. "Perhaps later, once the other guests have retired." He was a patient man, after all. Speaking of the other guests, though, he raised an eyebrow curiously. "I've been wondering, though, and I'd hoped you could shed some light on the topic. It must be disorienting, meeting a son from another world."
no subject
After a pause, Wanda looked back at Tommy and smiled. "Yes. It was but it gave me a bit of hope too. His father is dead in my time and we had no children." He'd been the person who had convinced Wanda that she was able to love. "We couldn't have bared children, even if we wanted too. So while it's surprising, his existence is amazing and even if it is another universe... I can't help but feel as if a part of me went into making him too."
no subject
"Well, if this other you, his true mother, is you, it's perfectly reasonable. Regardless of origin, to be Wanda you must be similar."
no subject
"What do you think you'd do? If you knew of another version of yourself, one with an entirely different life and a family?"
no subject
He looked down to his glass, though, pondering her question. "I'm not sure. I've never thought about having children. We do so so seldom I would want to know them, I think."
no subject
"That's how I thought at first. Before meeting Tommy. I hadn't ever thought I could." Not after everything that had happened at Hydra and then dating Vision who wasn't even human. "The man I was dating before, the one who passed away, he wasn't human and couldn't have children. So I never looked that far into the future. I didn't think I'd live that long either." Wanda lived a very dangerous life style. The only person she knew who had reached an elderly age was Steve and that was a unique situation.
no subject
"I'm afraid I could never provide you children, either."
no subject
"That's fine." She had never thought of children and even now she doubted that was in her future. "I'm enjoying what we have, for however long it lasts and-" Her gaze lifted to Tommy. "I have a family. I couldn't ask for more than that."
no subject
"So am I." And it was the truth. "Wherever it may go."
no subject
"I'm interested to learn more but on your terms." She's already aware that there was a long history lingering in Antonio's past and there was no doubt that she'd barely scratched the surface. In that same light, she was slowly opening up as well. It worked for them but Wanda was interested in learning more and she saw no reason not to tell Antonio that.
It was easy to be honest with him and Wanda wasn't putting a timeline on any part of their budding relationsip, whatever that relationship might be.
