Noctis had originally endeavored to travel alone to see what he could find out, but the lady who had some sort of fire ability (to his brief knowledge) had gone in the same direction. So he had nodded to her to acknowledge her presence but watched with interest when that fire mist surrounded her fingers. Was she a black mage of sorts? And how was she doing that? Did she wear a ring or something?

But the king was determined to see this through and try to bring some sort of semblance of normalcy back to the people here. So as he made his way through the metal tunnels or whatever they were, he crouched down, selfishly wishing he had his friends with him.
