"They were lucky to have you," Rhy answers. "Just as I am."

His arm wraps around his friend, holding him close. It was helping.

"The park. Tell me more."

Llewellyn actually didn’t respond for a moment, frown deepening lightly as he responded in a hushed tone. “They really weren’t, and I certainly hope to do better for you here than I did for them.”

The arms around him are nice though, and Rhy seemed to be settling well enough... So he shifted slightly and relaxed into the man’s hold, an arm coming to rest over one of his gently. “Mm... right, the park. It’s lovely, especially in the spring and early summer months when the trees are green and the flowers are freshly blooming. I usually spend most of my time walking there when I can’t focus in the noisy station house. It’s mm... got a lot of nice food stands for lunch too.”

He glanced at the ceiling of the tent again, thinking back on the time he spent there. “And I would run the trails every morning with the running club. It was always good for clearing my head before I went in to the station. The trails were sometimes challenging, but that was the point I expect.”

And Rhy... Rhy is asleep. The words and the warmth were a comfort he didn't know how to handle. Except by falling asleep, happy and safe and warm in ways he didn't know.

Llewellyn spoke on for a couple more minutes before he noticed Rhy had finally drifted off. He considered untangling himself and going back to volunteer work... But that might risk waking the man, and it was comfortable here. A short nap, or at least a chance to reflect in silence would be nice. Especially with Rhy sleeping so peacefully against him.
