“I trust that you will.” And he does, most people aren’t afraid to tell him off to begin with, though with Enis he’s more comfortable with it just being out of respect for the fact that he’d understand and not... because of a general dislike for him.

Llewellyn followed Enis to the shop after that, leaning against the side of the building with his shoulder as though he were holding it up for most of the duration of her disappearance inside. He was in detective brain mode, thinking about the few scant details of the case and looking forward to getting to the crime scene. The detective didn’t like that there were crimes to investigate, but he did like to feel useful. It was important for him to have thing to do, matters to turn his mind over on in place of thinking about things he’d rather not.

When she returned, he pulled away from the building with a nod. “Wow, you uh— have a lot of things.” He commented as they started walking again, brows raised curiously as he looked at the bag. Llewellyn couldn’t guess what was in the bag, but he couldn’t help but wonder over it. There was just so much that he didn’t know now, so much to catch up on and learn that he hadn’t even considered before.
