Strictly speaking, Alex Reagan can't even bake. The cookies that she makes around holidays and such are technically no bake ones, and whenever she tries to make any other kind they end up a disaster of the first order: burnt or raw, salt instead of sugar once at Nic's house, definitely without enough flour one time she picked up powder sugar for almond meal when she was trying to be gluten free. Of course, her attempts at actually cooking were something that were somehow even more laughable.

The biggest lie that Alex Reagan told on her show (other than that whole bit at the end, of course) was that with Hello Fresh she had managed to whip up gourmet meals. What she'd actually whipped up instead was gourmet ashes and a broken smoke detector. Which was fine! Living in a city had advantages, and the fact that you could get anything delivered to you was one of them. And there was also things like drive thrus, ez mac and frozen chicken nuggets.

But now she was trying to learn to look something that Richard said was easy, but then again it's Richard who had once been asked to be on Podcast Chopped, and Alex wasn't even allowed an EZBake oven as a kid. And now here she was trying to cook eggs. With a voice that had a bit of dubiousness in it, Alex can't help but to ask: "am I doing this right?"

"No, of course not. I really don't like eggs you know." Alex just looks really amused by it.

"And yet, you picked them." She really was rediculous.

"You like them. And I thought they'd be really way easier than they actually are!" She is however, actually ridiculous.

"I also eat other breakfast foods."

[11calls]

“But I thought you preferred eggs. I was hoping if I could learn how to make them I could make you breakfast in bed or something.”

[nobasisinfact]

"You've tried that before." He appreciated the fruit and cereal - particularly because she didn't burn down the pod.

[11calls]

“But it was just like fruit and cereal and tea. And a girlfriend wearing your shirt. I wanted to make real breakfast.” Alex is just going to look in dismay at the eggs again.

[nobasisinfact]

"It was fine." There was once a time when he would have said it was perfect, that her wearing his shirt was more than he'd hoped for, but this isn't that Richard.

"Only fine huh?" Alex just laughs softly as she steps forward and moves onto her bare toes in order to wrap her arms loosely around his neck. "So what do I need to do in order to do better than that? Be naked. Lingerie?"

[nobasisinfact]

"I'm not one to overt acts of praise." Still, he wraps his arms around her, holding her loosely in place.

"You know I seem to recall you once waxing poetic about the wonders of the universe, so I think, Dr. Strand I am going to beg to differ."

[nobasisinfact]

"People aren't the wonders of the universe."

[11calls]

Alex just arches a brow at him without saying anything.

[nobasisinfact]

He arches a brow in return.

"Would you like to be a supermassive black hole or dying star?

[11calls]

"There are other actually not insulting things, though. Like nebula and whatever."

[nobasisinfact]

"Nebulas are often large." Is he enjoying himself? He sure is.

[11calls]

"And a supermassive black hole isn't?"

[nobasisinfact]

"I wasn't calling you a supermassive black hole."

[11calls]

"No, my love, but that was the first thing you said." It's playful arguing. Banter like they always do, and Alex is amused and relaxed against him.

[nobasisinfact]

"Supermassive black holes are fascinating."

[11calls]

"Yeah? What's so fascinating about them?" She just looks so very amused by this.

[nobasisinfact]

"They're unpredictable and we don't know very much about it."

[11calls]

“Well, I am unpredictable, so that part’s true, I guess.” Alex just laughs. “But I think you know everything about me by now.”

[nobasisinfact]

Seems about correct.

[11calls]

[Alex just leans over and kisses him.]

It really does, doesn't it.
