So the people within the Sphere City miss the moon. At least, that’s what someone can draw from the fact that as January slips into February, large images of the moon are everywhere. The Full moon, to be more specific. There are silver streamers around the merchant dome, and lights have been modified to have a more silver than golden glow in appearance, even at all hours of the day there. Sure it makes things a bit difficult to see, but that’s not really a problem is it?

At night, several domes have large projections of the moon made against the domes. They’re pictures of the moon in varying states of artistic and scientific values. There's a kind of dreamy music that’s played, and a lot of the locals have silver flowers in their hair. Fire pits are common, and older residents are seated around them, telling tales of the moon and its connection to the waters above them. Some stories tell how it glows and shines or is made of green cheese. They also tell how sometimes there were people in the moon, men or women, gods or goddesses, or animals like rabbits. And some stories tell of how the moon would make people mad, and that’s where the term lunacy comes from.

Oh, and there are a few stories about werewolves too. And about how there walking among the people in the Sphere. Even now.

Food at the festival is based around the moon too, or at least the idea of the moon. There’s mooncake of course, but there’s also moon pies, half moon cheese pies, and pierogi, and various cheese and cracker platters, because the moon is made of green cheese after all. There’s moon-based cocktails, that are blue and silver. And some that are shimmering and shining.

People can draw fortunes from the moonwell, but, they’re silly and nonsensical, and people eat the silvery rice paper after they’re finished with them. A few of them however have more ominous sort of fortunes in them. Things like “help me” or “they’re out to get you” or “they’re coming and you can’t stop them.” People shrug those ones off too though. if someone asks about them.

So, there are rumors about werewolves that have been circulating around town, and people seem to be given red cloaks at random. Pretty girls and women are offered them the most, but they are open to anyone. If people put them on, which the surrounding locals will cheer and encourage them to do. Then they tell them that their clue is in their pockets and that they will save the town.

In the pockets is another silver disk with a list of names on it. One of those names is a werewolf. You’re given three clues (something like: ‘wearing a blue sweater’ or ‘bald man’ or ‘at the candy stall’) for each one, and then you either accuse them of being a werewolf or clear them. If you accuse them and you’re correct then you’re given a small vial with glowing stones in it and are told that they were actually pieces of the moon before it was lost. Whatever that means. You may want to hold onto them.

If you accuse them and you’re wrong, the game is over for you for the moment and the cloak is taken away. Each cloak has a different list of six names on it, and the names replenish every time someone gets a new cloak. Why yes, the Sphere is playing a game of werewolf with you. How the game goes entirely up to you, and whether or not your character gets invested or what. NPCs are definitely available for this if need be! Please feel free to go a little nuts with this, and player characters can definitely be one of the suspects if they're up for it.

It’s big news around Sphere City: some old lost and sealed domes have been found along the edges of town. Not only have they been found, but they’re open! Not only are they open but the stuff inside is there on a first come first serve basis. These old domes show no signs of dust, but there are some personal effects within them, pictures and the like. They definitely belonged to someone who had been pulled into the city at some point within the last seven years.

And they’re definitely worth checking out. One never knows one might find in them. Various varieties of clothing are available, as are books, food items (probably shouldn’t eat them), toys and there may or may not be some magical or important historical things hidden here or there if your character is very lucky. Mod note: Nothing world breaky or living can be found, but small things like potions or jewelry or amulets or small weapons (daggers or guns with a very limited amount of bullets.)

Wanda had made plans to drink with Rhy a few weeks before but the ghosts had delayed their ability to safely meet and talk. Today they were going to fix that and catch up. She hoped that he was doing well and honestly needed the company. She loved her son but there were some things she felt odd talking to him about.

She smiled at the innocent remark. It was cute.

"I think it's sugar. The sugar crystals can reflect the light." Maybe. Wanda had never been to college but it felt like a good guess.

"How does it taste?"

"How intriguing," Rhy muses as he twists the glass to look over the drink. But he smiles at Wanda, because she is so kind to explain it to him. "I would think the sugar would dissolve within the alcohol. Yet clearly it does not. Better, though, than flecks of metal. I've seen wines with that."

He finally lifts the glass to sip and considers it briefly and then nods.

"Yes, it is quite tasty. Shall I get one for you as well?

"I imagine it was made for this purpose." Likely something designed to dissolve slowly. Wanda really didn't know but she was happy that her explanation was acceptable.

She smiled at him and nodded.

"We did agree to have a drink. I think now is as good as time as any, as long as you can make sure I make it home." Wanda wasn't going to call her son when she was drunk to get her home. That was probably not good parenting.

"I cannot ensure that I won't drink so much that I won't need help. But it isn't a bad idea anyway," Rhy smiles, tilting his head as he considers her. And offers a warm smile.

"But I will ensure that when you go home it will be just you."

"We'll help each other." She grabbed a similar drink from the bar tender and lifted it up to gently cheers against Rhy's glass.

"That's very gallant of you."

Wanda wasn't sure what she thought of Rhy. He was a flirt but he never seemed to push things too far. It was curious and Wanda was mildly interesting in him.

"Gallantry is something my father expected of me," Rhy almost purred, his voice very soft. And he takes a sip of his drink and offers her a smile as he leans in just a SMIDGE closer.

"Though it is far less useful than being so beautiful and wise as you, my dear."

Wanda took a sip of her own drink as Rhy leaned just a little closer. "Is that so?" She smiled, her misty green eyes glittering with laughter and warmth.

"I'm not sure what to do with those compliments. Should I compliment you back? I think you already know all of your strengths." Her voice was warm and just a little teasing as she took another sip of the sweet liquid. It didn't taste alcoholic and Wanda made a note to not drink it too fast.

"Perhaps I know them, but I definitely like hearing them. Especially from a voice so lovely as yours."

HE takes another sip himself, intending to keep pace with her.

Wanda leaned forward and lightly rested her chin on her palm. "Should I start commenting about her eyes?" Her tone was warm, light and teasing. "They are dark but lovely. It makes me think you're always laughing at a private joke and it makes me want to know what that joke is."

She took another sip before returning her attention to him.

"Oh yes, there is quite a joke," Rhy agrees, mimicing her sip. And then he nods at her. "See, the joke is how enraptured I am when I find myself caught in your eyes."

Wanda shook her head like she was exasperated but her smile remained in place. "And how is that funny?"

"Because I worry that were you to walk away, I'd be unable to breathe," Rhy offers with a gentle smile.

Wanda smiled just a little wider. "Then I'll make sure not to walk away."

He really was charming and Wanda found herself slowly getting wrapped up in his airs. She knew this was just how Rhy was. He was like it on the network as well as the first time they met but it was nice to spend time with someone who was so happily focused on the moment as it was.

"But-" She held up a finger. "That means you must keep me entertained. So what will you do to entertain me?"

Well, if he focused on the past he would hurt. And really, Rhy didn't see the point to hurting, not while he was here. Not when he was told he would go back and lose no time, so he would be able to be there and connect with his people and rebuild his kingdom. No, he will believe in this.

But with the suggest that he might entertain her, well, he grins.

"I could regale you with stories of exploits. Or teach you Sanct."

"Sanct?" Her expression shifted into one of honest curiosity. "What's that?"

She'd love to hear stores as well but a notion of something she wasn't at all familiar with intrigued her.

"A card game, in my world. Where half the point is to cheat and not get caught. The rules are... fluid," he smiles. And he loved to play, quite a bit. Games could go on for hours, and the struggle to win was always a rush.

Wanda's mouth curled into a warm smile. "Alright. Sounds like it could be fun. Teach me and we'll see who's better at not getting caught." He might be surprised what talents Wanda hide behind that cute smile of hers.

"Alas, my lady. We lack cards," But he'd love to play with her. Play cards with her.

"We can find some, I believe I have some in my room or if you'd rather stay here, you can tell me one of those stories." She decided to leave it up to him, besides, it was better not to think too hard right now. Things in the Sphere were confusing.

"You have Sanct cards?"

Because normal playing cards will not do.

"No, perhaps I would rather tell you stories. Here or there."

"Oh? No. I only have normal playing cards." Oh well, I guess they wouldn't be playing that game. "Maybe one day when we have them then." She'd really like to learn to play.

Wanda smiled. "Alright but which would you prefer? I only have whiskey at my apartment."

"I don't mind whiskey. It's a drink that burns in all the right ways going down," he purrs. Yes, he'll flirt with Wanda until the cows come home. So to speak.

Wanda laughed and shook her head as if she couldn't believe him. "That is why I like it. Alright. We'll head back to my place and you can tell me those stories of yours." She slid off her chair and waited for him to join her.

She wouldn't say it but she was enjoying being flirted with. She'd been single for awhile and while her heart was healing from losing Vision, it was nice to feel desired. Maybe one day she'll even fall for someone again. She doubted that it would be Rhy but it was still nice.

Consider him practice flirting then. He stands, finishing his drink quickly. And then he smiles, offering his arm out to her.

"Allow me to escort you then, sweet Wanda."

Wanda follows his lead.

She finishes her drink, stands and takes his arm. "Thank you. Do you know where I live Rhy?" Her voice was light and teasing, mirth glimmering in her mist green eyes.
