threshes: and lift it up (we raise our cup)
Persephone (Our Lady of the Underground) ([personal profile] threshes) wrote in [community profile] thespherelogs 2019-06-04 01:00 am (UTC)

In her world, Persephone ain't just the goddess of the greeks. Nah, she's spread out all over the world in the way that she used to bring spring, so she just looks to the other woman for a long moment before she starts to speak to her in her native German. Of course, even with the language being right, Persephone's still got all her trills and scales, wouldn't be her if she didn't have it all. "It's alright honey, ya ain't got to worry about that. It's supposed to be a universal translator, but humans often don't get that sort of thing right on the first go."

But in the combined hands of both of the women, Persephone brings cherries into being, starting with the blooms and then shifting to the green fruit before they're as bright and ripe as they only could be if they were grabbed from a nearby tree in the top of their season. Only way to eat fruit really, if one asked Persephone. Or if one didn't; Persephone didn't need to be asked to offer her opinion. Ever.
