In a way, Llewellyn was both good and bad at keeping the peace himself. Things did get resolved, families and people got their closure. On the flip side, his more important cases nearly always shook things up. Made enemies, made noise and brought about drama. Either within his station or with those in political power in Toronto, it was always complicated.
The comment about Rhy being kidnapped as a child gets a small, concerned frown. Llewellyn, after all, hated when children were dragged into things, when they were hurt and victimized. “You were...? I— I’m sorry, my dear... I’ve worked a few kidnapping cases and when it comes to the children of the powerful...”
He shook his head, “It’s cruel and unfair, but more often than not it’s more about the parents or the politics than the actual child.” And... Well, Llewellyn knew well now that Rhy’s position in his kingdom was questioned, what with his somewhat lacking magical abilities. Something the detective still thought was ridiculous, but ultimately something he knew was an ingrained bias in people based on the way his world worked. “It’s never right, in my mind.”
