[OPEN] In this moment in time

WHO: Ashara Dayne ([personal profile] qelos) and OPEN
WHEN: last chunk of November and December
WHAT: Ashara’s arrival and the days that follow
WHERE: All over the place
WARNINGS: None at the moment. Will edit if that changes.
NOTES: Feel free to find her all over the place after she’s settled in, or hit me up to plot something specific!

Waking.
Ashara wakes to the sound of her brother’s voice. Strange, considering that he’s long distant from her. But waking as she is, it’s reassuring more than anything. She misses him a great deal. What he tells her, though, is very strange indeed. A purpose? What sort of purpose? Where is she?

And then her eyes are open and she sees. She’s no longer home. She’s... somewhere else. It is... unlike anything she has ever seen before. Surrounded by glass beneath the sea. She cannot help but gaze in wonder at it all. Where is she? Is she dreaming? Is she dead? She doesn’t seem to be dead, but would she know it if she was? If it is real... how, by the gods, did she find her way here?

Clad in a flowing dress in purple in Dornish style, she sweeps from the dome. Confused and unsure but curious. So very, very curious. She wants to see everything. Discover where everything is. Starting with where she’s staying; it seems to be communal sleeping arrangements. Which is strange. She’s used to having a space that’s her own. It’s a brief exploration, cursory – she’ll explore more deeply once she’s settled in. The library dome is of a particular interest, as is the market dome. She’s not sure the merchants here take Dornish coin, nor does she feel the need to find out. Not yet. She’s fond of the recreation dome, as well, the one with sunlight – the other feels... off, somehow.

Settling in.
After the first few days of settling in and getting the lay of the land, crossing paths with Ned, his inviting her to move in with him, she explores more in-depth. Taking the time to really wander and learn more of this strange place so unlike Dorne and King’s Landing both. She needs the distraction, needs the time.

She hadn’t expected to find a familiar face, here. Let alone the man she had loved and lost such a short time ago. A short time ago for her, twenty years for him. It’s... strange, and complicated but she cannot deny that being able to once more spend time with him makes her... happy. (She does her best to not think about the rest.) They can certainly be friends, at least.

So she spends a great deal of time in both the market dome and the recreation dome – she still prefers the one with sunlight. Although how they manage it as deep as they are she cannot fathom.

She lingers in the library dome, as well, exploring the books and finding a few that interest her to read. After all, she is somewhere strange and new, there’s bound to be a host of books she will never see again in her life, here.
