Alex just frowns down at the offending shell that is sitting in the whites of her eggs, and then she takes the spoon from him without saying anything for a second. While she's trying to fish the little white bits out from the viscous clear stuff that keeps attempting to draw them back off the spoon, she can't help but ask: "isn't there supposed to be an easier way to do this than with a spoon? Like with the shell or something? I'm pretty sure I saw it on a Buzzfeed life hack video once."

Like most people who happen to have chronic and terrible insomnia, Alex is actually well versed in a lot of Buzzfeed videos. Sometimes you just need something mindless so you don't spend all night tossing and turning and worrying of course about demons.
