While he's not familiar with the exact traditions being celebrated here, at least he is aware of the concept of observing one year becoming another (even if the last few years of his life haven't been ones worth celebrating). He finds a place to watch the sunrise, because it's something to do and he's up anyway, due to not sleeping well anymore.
It's later in the day though that he really feels the spirit of the celebration. He hasn't been here long enough to have accumulated extra possessions, so he's not among those throwing anything on the fire. He's seen what fires can do, anyway, and is wary of them. The smaller fires draw his interest though, and he can be convinced to give the smoke gathering a try.
[Day 2/dancing]
Growing up in a great House of Westeros, he has seen parties like this, but only from the outside. He had never been invited to one, for the simple fact that when you have important guests, you don't invite the bastard to dinner. Or at least Catelyn Stark didn't.
He's not entirely incapable of having fun, so this is a party he's determined to enjoy. Even if most of the music is strange and never learned how to dance. Food and drink are a universal language, and those he can enjoy easily.
He's dressed in a style that can best be described as medieval, with a deep red, iridescent tunic over a shirt and trousers of dark gray, and boots. Topping it all off is a wolf mask. Those who have met him should find him easy to recognize by his accent and his hair, which is pulled back in its usual manner.
[ooc: Costume is in this style in the colors described.]
[Day 3]
When he wakes up, he feels better rested than he has in a long time. In addition to that feeling, he's also in a better mood than he has been in a long time. The last time he felt this good was at Winterfell. He even manages some smiles while he's helping with the planting (he's inexperienced, but strong, and at least this is a good reason to end up covered in dirt). There are more smiles while he helps serve the food at the barbecue.
And by the time the butterflies arrive at the end of the night, he's positively beaming.
