She didn't have much to burn but there were pieces of her past that Wanda thought were best to finally leave behind her. There was always a chance that they'd come back, the Sphere was unpredictable in that way, but for now she was going to try and move forward.
It was a simple offering, a letter held carefully between her hands as she approached one of the smaller fires. She nodded to those nearby and as she hovered close to the flame, hesitating, she was left alone. The crowd was close but it was quickly apparent that they were offering a little privacy as she said goodbye.
Wanda looked down at the paper and her vision blurred as tears glimmered in her eyes. "You would want me to be happy." As difficult as it was, she couldn't allow herself to be locked in the past. It was harder here, knowing that Peitro or anyone else might suddenly appear, but she couldn't survive on hope alone. "Thank you. For everything you have taught me."
She released the paper in the flames and watched as the ashes danced up towards the roof of the domes. "Goodbye."
Day Two – Dancing Through Life [ooc: this is an ota, let me know if you want something specific since Wanda will be more eager to just relax and have fun.]
It was time to celebrate and as these chances hadn't come around very often, Wanda decided to seize the moment. Her dress was conservative, hanging off her shoulders with the red silky waves of her hair pulled over one shoulder. She wore a few different necklaces, including one that she'd been given by Laura for Christmas, as well as her usual bracelets and rings. Her mask on the other hand was unique and stylized to fit the adornments she wore while the simplicity of her dress accented everything else. Wanda wasn't ever concerned by fashion but she managed to balance the look well.
She had an escort when she first entered the mask and while she had to convince Jason to join her, she was happy that he had come.
Throughout the night she mingled as best she could and took as many chances as she could to do something she normally wouldn't do. Her attentions always gravitated back to Jason, having been the reason that he had attended at all, but she tried to say hello to those she recognized and experience the fun that a night with no restrictions offered her.
Day Three – Horrors of the Past
It had been an exciting few days but after all of the frivolity, Wanda decided to spend the final day of the celebration relaxing. She sat out of the way and smiled as she saw everyone bustling around her. She occasionally had a drink in her hand and could be found around the barbeque or sitting near the newly blooming flowers.
As she sat, she didn't notice the hovering spirit seated behind her, slowly leeching the life out of her slender frame.
After a few hours she found herself growing tired, her usual rosy complexion turning pale.
