He was so good at hiding things, even from himself, that if she weren't an empath she'd have probably thought nothing of his nervousness. It was unlucky for him that she was an empath and so she felt it. Maybe the right thing to do here would be to give him a break. Too bad she was more interested in her own amusement than giving anyone a break.
