While some people may think that Alex is an idiot, she's definitely not. Oh, she's used to downplaying her intelligence in order to play the 'every man' role when it comes to her show and something needs to be explained, but she definitely is smart. Even with that, more often than not her intelligence tends to come with an emotional component, and she knows that despite the good face that he's placing on it, Loki isn't as sure of it as he makes that smile seem.
