Laurie was the head of the infirmary here. She'd been head of it for quite some time honestly, and when she heard someone call for a Doctor, she was there immediately. However, what she saw made her dark eyes go round, and she was speechless for a moment staring at the thing that was moving inside of the bundle. The girl had said an 'animal doctor.'

There weren't supposed to be any animals in the domes at all. She'd never seen one.

Moving down onto her knees before the girl, with an appraising eye that ran over the wild scratches on her hand, Laurie just asked in a soft voice. "Is that the animal in there? I'm Laurie, I'm a doctor and I can help."
